Eating excess carbohydrates leads to insulin resistance, and insulin resistance leads to a serious condition called metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome involves a number of symptoms such as:

high blood sugar

increased waist circumference

high blood pressure

Metabolic syndrome increases the risk of developing conditions such as cardiovascular disease and type II diabetes.  As much as 32% of the population in the U.S. has metabolic syndrome.

How much do you know about how carbohydrates and the impact they have on your health? Which of these has the least carbohydrates:
