Having a Successful Appointment with Your Pediatric Gastroenterologist
Our goal is to make your child feel better. We need your help to make this happen.
Pick an appointment time when your child is likely to be fully awake.
Arrive on time or ahead of time for your appointment.
Bring all medications with you to the appointment.
For young children (infant, toddler, or younger preschooler) it may be helpful to have another parent, older child, or caregiver nearby to help.
Bring soft toys, books, a bottle, or sippy cup to help soothe and engage your child throughout the visit.
You and your child will be asked many questions. Discuss important information with your child before the appointment so we can help your child get better.
Avoid multitasking, texting, or looking at your phone during the appointment.
Be prepared to take notes. Keep a pen and paper handy. You will be receiving lots of information during the visit.
Bring a list of any questions you and your child have.
We look forward to helping your child feel better!
