Dr. Manisha (Mona) Dave Welcomes 2021!
There's a ton of new faces on our social media sites so allow me to introduce you to Dr. Manisha (Mona) Dave!
Dr. Dave was raised in Lewisville, Texas and attended Lewisville High School (home of the Fighting Farmers!). From an early age, she aspired to be a physician like her mom. She attended Villanova University and then started medical school at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she also met her husband.
It was during her time in medical school that she realized her true calling was pediatrics. After medical school, Dr. Dave attended the prestigious pediatric residency program at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
While at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Dr. Dave's most gratifying patients to care for were children with digestive diseases. Dr. Dave found the connection between the digestive tract and the entire body so complex and fascinating that she furthered her studies by completing an additional three years of training specializing in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition.
In 2004 she gave birth to her identical twin girls. Shortly after in 2006, she moved back home to Texas to start her Pediatric Gastroenterology practice.
Dr. Dave is a board-certified Pediatric Gastroenterologist. She has a passion for educating children and families about digestive health. When she is not seeing patients, you will find her, her husband, and daughters out in nature hiking and exploring the world!
